i hate the summer... i love the heat, i hate the sun. i hate the jubilant, fake freedom that envelopes everyone and make them their worst selves. i was stuck in a high-rise full of junkies and drug dealers - it was where i did my work - in the dead of summer until i smoked something weird, freaked out and moved in the middle of the night. i was more lost than i had ever been: more than when my mom died, more than when i survived a suicide attempt, more than when i got kicked out of my home of seven years, more than when i left my faith and most of the family i had ever known I WAS DRIFTING IN A BLACK SEA, TRYING TO FIND ANYTHING - NOT SHORE, NECESSARILY, JUST ANYTHING AND AT MY WORST, I JUST TUNED OUT AND MADE THESE SONGS. THEY ARE LOST MUSIC FOR LOST PEOPLE, THOSE OF US WHO LIVE IN THE TWILIGHT WORLD OF SHADOWS AND LOST TIME, THE OTHER HALF FOR WHOM HOPE IS i think i'll be ok but i just never feel like i know, you know?
